Quick Troubleshooting Overview:
Common streaming issues such as buffering, audio desync, or authorization failure are typically resolved by switching the player's video decoder from software to hardware, increasing buffer cache size to 3–5 seconds, clearing player application cache, and verifying your Wi-Fi frequency or Ethernet cable integrity.
1. Resolving Stream Buffering and Freezing
Occasional buffering is usually linked to local network congestion or ISP packet shaping rather than server downtime:
- Adjust Buffer Cache Size: In player applications like TiviMate or XCIPTV, navigate to Settings > Playback > Buffer Size and change from None/Small to Medium (or Large). This allows the player to pre-load several seconds of video, smoothing over minor packet dips.
- Switch from 2.4 GHz to 5 GHz Wi-Fi: 2.4 GHz home networks are prone to microwave and Bluetooth interference. Switching your streaming box to a 5 GHz band or using an Ethernet cable significantly improves throughput consistency for 60 FPS streams.
- Restart Home Router: Power-cycle your modem and router for 60 seconds to clear clogged routing tables and DNS caches.
2. Fixing Audio-Video Desync
If commentary or dialogue falls behind the live picture on sporting channels:
- Switch Hardware Decoder: Go to player Settings > Video Decoder and toggle between Hardware (HW) and Software (SW). Hardware decoding utilizes your TV's GPU directly, preventing audio drift.
- Audio Offset Adjustment: In TiviMate and VLC, open the on-screen audio options menu during playback and adjust the audio delay slider (+100ms or -100ms) until audio sync is locked.
3. Fixing "Authorization Failed" or 401/403 Errors
If your player suddenly refuses to authenticate:
- Check Connection Limits: If you are on a 1-screen plan, verify that another television, tablet, or smartphone in your home is not currently streaming on the same playlist. Multi-room streaming requires a 2-screen or 3-screen subscription.
- Verify URL & Password: Re-check your assigned Server URL, username, and password for accidental spaces or typos.
- Contact WhatsApp Desk: If your subscription expired or requires re-activation, chat with our WhatsApp Support Desk to verify your account status.
4. Black Screen with Audio Playing
This indicates that the audio stream is decoding normally, but your device's video decoder cannot render the stream format:
- Change the stream output format in your playlist settings from MPEG-TS (.ts) to HLS (.m3u8), or vice versa.
- In player settings, set video output to ExoPlayer or an external player like VLC.
5. Electronic Program Guide (EPG) Not Updating
If your TV guide shows "No Information" across channels:
- In player settings, find EPG Sources and click Update EPG.
- If the timeline remains empty, select Clear EPG Cache and trigger a fresh download.
